I am loving this series. This book explores the complicated relationship between Maddox, lead singer of Ugly Eternity and Hawke, who we met in book one. I love Hawke!I don't want to give too much away as far as the whys of Maddox's constant back and forth. Maddox knew eventually Hawke would have enough of his games. Hawke loves Maddox and is tired of not being enough. So Hawke is at his limit. He changes his number, packs up and moves, quits hanging at the bar, all without a word to Maddox or any of the guys. Maddox with the help of his band mates finds Hawke and insituates himself back into Hawke's life. Confessing their love to each other they begin to build a life together.
But there is someone else in the equation.
I have to say...the dinner party scene with Hawke and Sophie's parents was absolutely the best! And that was when I began rooting for the 'underdog' (if you know who I mean). And speaking of...
Book Three is due next week and I can not wait! I am so excited for Jamie's story. And yeah, I'll say it, I'm team Jamie all the way!

I liked this book although it was slow paced. Maddox and Hawk's relationship is tumultuous at best. I look forward to the next book.
Not sure where this is going. Right now Hawke and Maddox are together but what about Jaimie. The next book will tell. I do love Addison, who both Maddox and Hawke love as well.
A page turner, not sure what was going to happen next. There were so many twists, you need to read every word. I liked the series, some of the books better than others. Loved Hawke, not sure I ever liked Maddox.
Well done sequel in this series. Hawke and Maddox get their story. A few surprises, a man whose heart almost gets broken, and a man whose life seems to be spinning out of control...can they find their way to each other? Sweet and romantic, it was Maddox finally realizing he needed to open his heart up to Hawke and let him in completely, to have the life he always wanted. Can't wait for Jamie and Joss's stories.
I love Hawke!! This man deserves to have it all. I really like Maddox as well and I really don't want to see what happens between the two of them that the next book is called for. I love that he has Addison in his life. This little girl loves him with the purest heart and I hope neither of them gets hurt. I will be reading book 3 now even though I am afraid of what's to come.
Maddox and Hawke are on it hot and heavy....the story picks up right where the last one stopped. There are a few surprises that I didn't see coming. But I was very happy that at the end, they were in love. For the second book in this series, I thought it was excellent. These characters are charming, sexy, mysterious, rambunctious and in a band!! Enough said!! I am completely captivated by this series, looking forward to Heart's Strum. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THIS AFFORDABLE SERIES!!!
I did not read the first book, but I don't think it matters much. This is about Hawke and Maddox.
For many months Hawke has been patiently waiting for Maddox to offer more than a quick romp in the utility room. They come together in Hawke's house, but never visit where Maddox lives. Even if Hawke loves Maddox with his whole heart, he decides - after yet another condescending hand job in the backroom - to end it all.
It actually takes a while before Maddox discovers how thoroughly Hawke has severed their connection. And then a while to get near Hawke again. Suddenly it's Maddox who is chasing Hawke's affection. He introduces him to his daughter and does whatever he can to seduce Hawke back to his arms. It seems that Maddox has changed totally and is now pursuing a commitment and a HEA with Hawke.
I personally think Hawke deserves better, but it's the writer's privilege to decide what will happen to the characters.
I must admit I could not always follow the innuendos. Since there is another book in the pipeline, I wonder what the author has in stock for the readers.
